As much as I love a rainy day, guys it’s a tradition in India that you sit on the front porch with a cup of hot tea, I do feel like the absence of sun is a bit of a downer. There is just something about the grey skies that make you feel like last episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S was a peach. The psychological term for this disorder is S.A.D.
Now, you can order the weather to bend to your command or you can do what I do.
Take out your Rose-Coloured Glasses!
The idiom works, folks, but I meant the real thing! About two thousand years ago, there was the invention of this Awesome thing called stained glass. Maybe you’ve heard of it. This stained glass had this even more Awesome property of filtering white light into a single colour. The brilliant thing is that stained glass didn’t stop as decoration for churches and other architecture. People used those glasses to make eye-wear, popularly known as shades or sunglasses.
Put on a pair of shades and you can change the gloomy sky whichever colour you want. Remember though, this is only for the weird and proud!
Isn’t wearing Rose-Coloured Glasses on a gloomy day Awesome?
