Walking Around New York

New York is not the city you visit to spend quality time staring at the sunset, reflecting on the greater purpose of life. It is doubtful you might even be able to see the sunset past the beautiful, tall buildings. But they aren’t a bad alternative. The first sight I caught of the grand city, was through a tunnel. And My! What a perfect way to  wake up to New York!

New York through a tunnel

Being surrounded by towering buildings outs you firmly in your place. They remind you of how tiny and insignificant you are, but not in a bad way. Their sheer number dispel the cold vibe most tall steel building usually have. They seem to say, much like the city itself, Do what you want, be young, be happy, nothing you do matters anyway.

Once in a while you find some fantastic words of wisdom on a random banner on a building, and feel like you’re not alone in how you feel. And that makes you feel fantastic. Because misery loves company.
