The one monument you notice in Washington, even, often from the sky as you land is the Washington Monument, standing in resolute symmetry. Pristine and erect, this historical architecture built to honour George Washington is surrounded by fifty flags to symbolise the martyrs. At the moment, it is closed to visitors.
The five hundred and fifty-five foot marble obelisk seems to hold mystical answers to many a question. The photography challenge for this monument is to get the entire structure in landscape mode. When you use the leaves and branches from trees near you, a viewer can easily imagine the size of the monuments.
If everything was easy, what fun would that be ?
