A wise woman once told me, and it also an Eragon quote, “What an elf doesn’t say is more important” except she said photograph. So what can you do to add a little mystery to your photograph? Framing, my friend, is your best friend.
At Jaipur Literature Festival, a few years ago, I found an epic example. A tourist photograph of a cannon is the work of an amateur. But a wheel. That raises many questions. What does it belong to? Where is it going? Is it going anywhere? How big is it? With a good camera, *hint hint* Nikon DSLR 5100* and a few hours bringing your vision to the computer, you may have yourself a photo you wouldn’t be ashamed of showing other people.
